Velupillai Prabhakaran (Tamilian: வேலுப்பிள்ளைபிரபாகரன்; born the November 26th 1954), sometimes called V. Prabhakaran or Pirabaharan , is leading Tamil Tigers of Eelam tamoul.

It is a Militant of the organization combatant for the autonomy of the Tamoul in the North-eastern province of the Sri Lanka.

Velupillai Prabhakaran has been the captain of the LTTE for more than 35 years. It was born in Valveddithurai. It began its first war against the government cingalais in 1973 by attacking the police station and also while exploding a Jeep of army srilankaise.
