Vejle, commune of the area of Denmark of the south

Vejle commune became a commune of the area Denmark of the South following the communal reform of 2007 like its chief town.

The commune of Vejle is the result of the regrouping of:

  • the old commune of Børkop which gathered the parishes of:
Gauerslund, Gårslev, Skærup, Smidstrup,

  • the old commune of Egtved which gathered the parishes of:

Bredsten, Egtved, Jerlev, Nørup, Randbøl, VesterNebel, Ødsted, ØsterStarup,

  • the old commune of Give which gathered the parishes of:

Gadbjerg, Give, Givskud, Lindeballe, Ringive, Thyregod, Vester, ØsterNykirke, GiveBirk, EnkelundBirk
  • the old commune of Jelling which gathered the parishes of:
Hvejsel, Jelling, Kollerup, Vindelev,
