Vein azygos

The vein azygos is a vein draining on the right blood coming from the left lumbar veins (satellite with the lumbar arteries) and about the left veins intercostales, on the left one speaks about lower Veine hémiazygos, this one being supplemented by the higher Veine hémiazygos, which it collects the blood of the left veins intercostales.

The veins hémiazygos higher and lower are anastomosed with the single azygos on the right. One speaks about system azgygos.

The whole being connected to the higher Vena cava, in " enjambant" the bronchus right stock.
