History of Vegetated

Whereas it is child, everyone believes that it is the legendary warlike which appears every thousand years, thanks to his potential of innate combat, and owing to the fact that he is family member royal of the Végéta planet. This is why Freezer, which needs him to achieve missions of conquest, sends it on another planet with Nappa, its bodyguard, while it destroys the Végéta planet. While growing, Végéta has one objective: to kill Freezer and take its place to direct the universe, but it is not yet rather extremely to compete with him. It undergoes the mockeries of the henchmen of Freezer, Kiwi, Zabon and Dodoria, which is more powerful than him.

Thanks to their detectors, Vegetated and Nappa discover that Raditz died on the Earth, and they learn the existence from the Dragon Balls which can carry out any wish. Vegetated decides to go on Earth with Nappa to become immortal thanks to these balls. During their voyage to arrive which lasts one year, they éradiquent without pity the population of two planets (this event is exclusive with the televised series and does not form part of the original history of the manga).

Arrival on Earth

Once arrived on the Earth, Vegetated and Nappa shave a whole city cruelly, then they find face to face with the friends of His Gokû. They give birth to several Saibai-men to divert itself by looking at them clashing. One of Saibai-men keep silent Yamcha, then Nappa starts the combat against all the others. It kills Piccolo (and consequently Kami-sama), Ten Shin Han and Chaozu.

After the victory of Its Gokû against Nappa, Végéta completes this last coldly, considering that it is not to him any more any utility, then faces Its Gokû. But this last uses the Kaiô-Ken . Vegetated then decides to create the artificial moon to transform itself into giant Singe. At the time when it is on the point of giving the blow of thanks to Its Gokû, Yajirobé intervenes and the tail crosses to him, which makes him regain its initial shape. Its Gokû then transmits the Genki Dama to Krilin, which, helped of Its Gohan, ends up beating Végéta. This one leaves there seriously wounded but manages to flee on board its space capsule.

On Namek

Once its wounds cured on another planet, it goes on Namek in order to seize the Dragon Balls which are there, more especially as it learned that its Master Freezer goes there with the same goal. Arrived on Namek, he faces Kiwi and kills easily it, as Dodoria which acknowledges to him that Freezer indeed destroyed its planet. After having killed Dodoria, share with the research of the Dragon Balls Vegetated. It coldly kills the members of a village namek and steals the ball which was in their possession, that it hides at once.

It is then found by Zabon, one of the men of Freezer. The two men fight. Zabon, which is metamorphosed, overcomes Végéta and leaves it for death. It however returns to seek it later, at the request of Freezer, to look after it so that it says where it hid the Dragon Ball. After being looked after, Végéta flees by taking all the Dragon Balls of Freezer. He faces Zabon again but beats it easily this time. It is constrained to be combined with Krilin, Its Gohan, then Its Gokû to overcome the special forces of the Freezer tyrant. It completes without pity four of the five members of the Ginyû Commando: (Ghourd, Reacum, Ridged, and Jeese).

Vegetated believes whereas it reached the stage of Super Saiyan. However, even if it gained in power, there did still not reach this stage and remains impotent vis-a-vis Freezer. This last kills it at the time when Its Gokû intervenes. It will be then ressuscity (during the last combat of Gokû against Freezer) thanks to the Dragon Balls of the Earth and téléporté on Earth, as well as the other victims of Freezer and its group.

Against Cyborgs

Since, he lives at Bulma, which enables him to be involved in a special machine designed by Mr Brief. Thanks to this proximity with Bulma, its heart is humanized little by little, but there will remain the proud warrior whose main objective is to become stronger than Its Gokû, his rival of always. This is why it continues to be involved intensively.

At the time of arrived of Freezer and King Cold on Earth, Trunks of the future appears and is transformed into Super Saiyan, which does not fail to aggravate Végéta (volume 28, the boy come from the future ). Trunks brings bad news on the arrival of cyborgs and the nearest death of Its Gokû and almost all the group of warriors. All the team decides to involve itself to prepare on arrival of the cyborgs, Végéta share in space, to involve themselves, in a new model of the vessel which Gokû had taken to go on Namek (an exclusive event with the televised series, the details of the drive of Vegetated are not given in the original history of the manga). In spite of its efforts, Végéta does not manage to reach the stage of Super Saiyan, which does it enrager. Paradoxically, it is this rage which it accumulates which enables him to become about it finally one.

Little time before the arrival of the cyborgs, it has a child with Bulma, of the name of Trunks, but it is hardly occupied any. The cyborgs C-19 and C-20 make their appearance and Végéta arrives in time to save Its Gokû which is falling sick. It very easily overcomes C-19 while being transformed into Super Saiyan. He then learns the name from the boy who comes from the future and thus understands that it is about his son. Vegetated believes itself invincible, but it undergoes a new failure vis-a-vis C-18 (volume 30, ill omen ).

The arrival of Concealment

After the rétablissemnt of Its Gokû, this one proposes in Végéta to come to involve itself in the Salle of the Spirit and Time in order to be able to face Cell (volume 31). Vegetated enters there with Trunks and, after one year spent inside (what corresponds to one day in the outside world), it leaves to face Cell. This last absorbed C-17 and is thus at the second stage of its evolution. “Super Vegetated” shows itself more powerful than Cell, but when this one reveals to him that it did not reach yet the ultimate stage of its transformation, Végéta, certain that it will dominate, decides to let it absorb C-18 to face it to the maximum of its capacities (volume 32). It goes even until striking his own Trunks son when this one tries to interpose to prevent Cell from absorbing the cyborg.

After the transformation of Concealment, Végéta faces it. Concealment became too much extremely for him and it is overcome. To its alarm clock, having learned that Cell is on the point of organizing a tournament, it again leaves to be involved in the room of the Spirit and Time (volume 33). On the end of the tournament, Trunks is killed by Cell and Vegetated then decides to avenge it, even if it is not enough strong to overcome Cell (volume 35). At the time of the final attack of Its Gohan, it sends a ball of energy to the face of Concealment, which diverts its attention and makes it possible Gohan to take the top and to eliminate it definitively.

Boo

Seven years passed and the Earth lives in peace. New Tenka Ichi Budôkai will start, Its Gokû will return from the paradise for only 24 hours in order to take part in it, and Vegetated is charmed with the idea of being able to face it (volume 37). However, the tournament does not occur as envisaged. The gods Kaiô Shin and Kibito prevent them that a demon of the name of Boo soon will awake.

Vegetated is furious not to be able to fight Its Gokû but accompanies it nevertheless to fight the demons of the wizard Babidi. Seeing Its Gokû transforming itself into Super Saiyan 2 as a combatant Yakon, Végéta understands that it does not make the weight and starts to internally work out a strategy which will enable him to reach the same level as its rival.

At the time of the combat between Its Gohan and Dabra, it voluntarily lets explode its anger, showing to the enemies that, contrary to the other people present in the vessel (Gohan, Gokû and Kaiô Shin), it is the only one not to have the pure heart and thus a potential prey with the magic of Babidi.

It thus wishes to let be expressed its with dimensions the most obscure, all this hatred which according to him gives their force to Super Saiyans, in order to be able to reach, even exceed, the level of power of Its Gokû. The apparent spite of Vegetated in this form is only one lure because Babidi does not control it absolutely like the other slaves. Its immense pride makes him disobey the orders of the magician because for him only the confrontation against Gokû counts (volume 38) - In this form, it is sometimes called Majin-Vegetated . After so much of years of competition contained, it engages a violent one then fights Super Saiyan 2 with Its Gokû which makes it possible Boo quickly to awake by nourishing formidable power released by the two combatants.

Vegetated is Saiyan “thoroughbred”, high on the Végéta planet, which wants to say that for him the feelings are only weakness, but its stay on Earth opens little by little the eyes and, with the wire of the history, the fact to him of evolving/moving positively.

In the final chapters, it is completely changed, it is even sacrificed to kill Boo (volume 39), in vain. The humanity which it acquired by côtoyant the team of Its Gokû even allows him to have a place with the paradise. With final, Végéta became a person with the good heart but it is rare that it shows it because he lost his pride of Prince Saiyan forever.

Dragon Ball WP

The events of Dragon Ball WP are exclusive with the televised series and thus do not exist in manga.

In the future, Végéta carries out a quiet life with its family. It had a girl with Bulma, named Bra. But when Baby appears, it will have to fight against Gohan had by Baby, before this last does not have it in its turn, giving rise to Baby Vegetated. In the saga of the malefic Dragons, it manages to become Super Saiyan 4 like Its Gokû, except that Vegeta became with the assistance of his wife Bulma who manufactured a émetteuse machine of waves " Brutz" (it did not have any more a tail and could not thus change). This ultimate transformation the watch finally equal at the time of the irruption of the seven dragons.

The Dragon Balls would indeed have a small share of negative energy which increases as one makes use of the Dragon Balls . During the last combat, Vegetated and Gokû performent their last fusion, most powerful: Gogéta in Super Saiyan 4.

Competition with Its Gokû

At the commencement of the series, Its Gokû maintains many power struggles with its fellow-members (Yamcha, Kamé Sennin, Krilin, Ten Shin Han, Piccolo) but it east Végéta, with its late arrival in the history, which positions like the true rival of Its Gokû - the others completely being more or less quickly exceeded by the power of the latter or having simply rejoined it as it was the case of Piccolo.

Until its arrival on Earth, Végéta clearly exceeds the level of Its Gokû (and regarded it until there as a dead loss). The first gap widens with the drive of Gokû during its voyage towards Namek, it is as from this moment that the competition of Vegetated starts to be born. With its victory over Freezer and its transformation into Super Saiyan, Its Gokû becomes truly the rival whom Végéta is given to have to exceed.

Consequently, Végéta does not have of cease to want to make up for its lost time. Its Gokû is naturally endowed and calls mainly upon its feelings to increase its force; Vegetated, acquires to him its capacity by work and the hatred which it nourishes against this last. This difference between them is evoked on several occasions, in particular at the time of the first transformation of Vegetated in Super Saiyan of level 1. Its Gokû and Végéta are of the same level on several occasions, but Gokû remains the hero of the history and often exceeds Végéta. That seems to be checked when its stay in the Room of the Spirit and Time enables him to gain one year of drive in only one day; at its exit, Végéta exceeds indeed Its Gokû but is again quickly exceeded when this one enters in its turn the room.

Gokû carries a glance respectful and amused on Végéta. He regards it as his equal and knows that him and Vegetated are actually very close if not equal. Gokû regards it as his/her comrade in arms.

Finally, it is vis-a-vis the ultimate combat between Gokû and Boo which it is solved to admit that Its Gokû was always most powerful (volume 42). This declaration is however not a consent of impotence, but kind of clearness, known as like giving courage.
