Vega4 is a group Pop-rock'n'roll created in 1999 in England made up of four members of different nationalities. Johnny McDaid (song) and Gavin Fox (low) is Irish, Bruce Gainsford (guitar) comes from News Zealand and Bryan McLellan (battery) is Canadian. Simon Walker was their first bass player, he came from England.

2002, beginnings…

The group leaves initially a first EP entitled Better Life composed of 5 pieces ( Better Life , Hearing Voices , Summertime , 30,000 Dreams and a resumption of Beatles, Revolution , which will be used as background music for publicities of France Telecom in France) which predicts a future album later a few months.

This album is born at the end of 2002 and is entitled Satellites . The major part of the titles of this disc is built on a lyric pop approach leaving the good share to the sonic or vocal flights. That it is on the fast pieces ( Drifting Away Violenty ) or on more measured tempos ( The Caterpillar Song ). The best piece of this album will undoubtedly remain possible Love Station-wagons Down , splendid, equipped with a superb melody. A disc fantastic, unforgettable, which one takes pleasure to listen and find each time. But it was also the single test of the group, which in spite of critical warm welcome, had not succeeded in taking off in the sales.

Thereafter, the group starts a small round in first part of Nada Surf.

Around this album, the group does not record badly of B-Sides like Hearing Voices , Summertime , Cure For Gravity and more particularly So Long Forever , superb song whose words is not even reproduced on the official site, to believe that the group completely forgot it. Click here to listen to it (on an assembly of the film " The Crow").

One year later, the group records a title with Paul Van Dyk, Time off Our Lives .

2006, return of the group after 4 years of silence…

Vega4 remakes surface with new a opus entitled You & Others which leaves on October 30th, 2006, the fans impatiently awaited this second album after excellent the Satellites .

Product by Jacknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol…), it is a disc which is addressed to each one and all, composed of several pieces to the different styles. Individual basic pop-rock'n'roll like Traffic Jam and You And Me , songs a little more rock'n'roll with lyrical flights ( Tearing Me Apart , Paper Cuts ) or Life Is Beautiful , a piece which one can understand in an episode of the series TV Grey' S Anatomy . This second album is less surprising that its predecessor, but however also successful. While hoping not to have to again wait 4 years for the next one.

In December 2006, we learn by the official site that Simon Walker , the bass player, leaves the group for a still unknown reason. Gavin Fox (former bass player of Idlewild) replaces it at once.
