Vavin (subway of Paris)
Vavin is a station of the Métro of Paris on the line 4, in limit of the 6 {{E}} and 14 {{E}} districts of Paris.
The station
Origin of the name
Comes from the Rue Vavin, which pays homage to Alexis Vavin (1792 - 1863) which was notary. Appointed elected official of Paris in 1839 it belonged to the constituent Assembly, then of the legislative Assemblée. Favorable to the Monarchy, he was opposed to the coup d'etat of Napoleon III.

The station was open the January 9th 1910.
