Vault of Verniette

Verniette was a very old parish only joined together with Conlie in 1802.

The borough is located at the crossing of two ancient ways:

  • one comes from Conlie and goes to the Gallo-Roman relay of Asnières
  • the other is the North-South Roman way of Sillé-the-Guillaume in Neuvy which moves towards Chevaignés.

The parish was close to the “way Montois” way medieval which connected Mans to the Mount-Saint-Michel.
