Vault-Saint-Aubin

Vault-Saint-Aubin is a common French, located in the department of the the Sarthe and the area Pays of the Loire. It is just exposed to the North of the city of Mans, and is counted like integral part of its agglomeration. Vault-Saint-Aubin is a flowered Ville with 3 flowers allotted by the National council of the Cities and Flowered Villages of France to the Concours of the cities and flowered villages. October 6th, 2007 with Mayenne, the regional jury decreed with the commune one 3rd flower with the prize list of the cities and flowered villages. Its inhabitants is called Capellaubinois.

Geography

The Vault Aubin Saint is located at the North of the city of Mans and in form its periphery. It has its own service road SETRAM, which connects it to the center town of Mans. It is today in margin of secondary road 337. It is served by the highway exit Mans ZI-North on A11. Its doors of Océane forms the first highway node of the Countries of the Loire while arriving of the North or the East of France. The industries and trade installed in the city belong to the group Northern Mans companies. The latter were installed with the beginning of the year 1980. The ZAC (Artisanal and commercial Zone) of the Mill to the Monks is integrated into the landscape of the city. The commune is also crossed by the line Corail Mans- Alençon.

At the end of the Second world war, the village is crossed by the armies of Release; the future Leclerc marshal, with the head of 2nd dB, remains there for one night. August 9th, 1944 the general Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque sang in the church of the Vault Saint aubin. A commemorative plaque is dedicated to him.
