Vassili Barsoukov

Vassili Nikolaïévitch Barsoukov was a pilot of hunting and Soviet As of the Second world war, holder of the Ordre of Héros of the Soviet Union.

Career

Born on August 6th, 1922 close to Kalinine, it followed the courses of the Aéroclub of Metrostoï , with Moscow, and joined the Red Army in 1941 and was patented pilot with the military academy of the Air of Tchernigov .

In July 1942 it was transferred as serzhant (= Sergent) to the 18.GuIAP (=régiment of air hunting of the Garde), initially on Yak-1 then on Yak-3. At the time of the Battle of Koursk, in July 1943, it obtained at least 3 victories air . In January 1944, promoted starshii leitenant (= lieutenant), it accepted the command of a Escadrille of the 18.GuIAP , and finished the war like Capitaine.
