Vasoconstriction
see also: Etymology of Vasoconstriction
The vasoconstriction is a mechanism which intervenes in immediate answer to the lesion of a Blood-vessel to stop a bleeding. It is the first stage of the Hémostase.
The factors which induce this process are:
- the mechanical lesion of the smooth muscular cells under the vascular endothelium.
- the action of the substances released by injured fabrics.
- the action of the substances released by the plates, of which the Serotonin.
- the activation of the Nocirécepteurs (of the pain) passing by the nervous system sympathetic nerve (catecholamines, adrenalin, noradrenalin).
The flow of blood will be slowed down on the level of the vessel reaches surfaces endothéliales vessel will be joined (they become adhesive).
Other processes supplement the vasoconstriction: formation of a plate nail, coagulation and the fibrinolyse.
