Vas deferens

The vas deferens is the channel which makes it possible the Spermatozoïde S to leave each Testicule S and to join the Prostate at the Mammifère S and the Urodeum at the Oiseau X.

It prolongs the épididyme with the back of the testicle, passes by the Spermatic cord, then with the top of the Vessie before returning in the prostate or it becomes the ejaculatory Canal before joining the Urètre.

The vas deferenses constitute, with the seminal vésiculs and the ejaculatory channels, the spermatic ways, of which the total length borders 40cm.

ANATOMY: The vas deferens is a conduit hard measuring approximately 1mm diameter, and divided into six segments:

  • funicular segment épididymo-testiculaire
  • segment, within the spermatic cord, itself located in the channel inguinal.
  • segment inguinal, in front of the bladder, ascending
  • iliaque segment
  • pelvic segment latéro vesical
  • vesical retro segment, marked by a dilation called bulb déférentielle, right before the meeting with the seminal blisters to form the ejaculatory channel.

The spermatic cord, containing the funicular segment of deferent, also contains the artery, veins and nerve of the testicle, and the muscle crémaster.
