Varsovian

The Varsovian is a particular form of Mazurka. It is a dance of couple in vogue in the Parisian living rooms at the 19th century, carried out on a slow music at 3 times. Appeared towards 1850, it does not seem to be maintained beyond 1870.

Exit of a Polish dance , it was created by internal caliper gauge French, by combining steps of Polka and Mazurka, to which they added turns of Valse.

According to the areas one meets it under various names of varsoviana , valsevienne or waltz-Vienna , portuliana (Catalogne), etc
