Variable of the type Alpha2 Canum Venaticorum

In Astronomy, a variable of type Alpha ² Canum Venaticorum is a variable star of the principal sequence of spectral Type B8p in A7p which presents a fort Magnetic field and spectral lines in the Silicium, the Strontium and the Chrome. Their luminosity varies in a typical way between 0,01 and 0,1 magnitude over one period of 0,5 to 160 days.

The prototype and most known of these variables is Cor Caroli (α ² CVn) which fluctuates of 0,1 magnitude over one 5,47 days period.
