The Vardules or Spanish Várdulos in , were a tribe pre-Roman, in the Basque autonomous Communauté current, in the north of the Ibérienne peninsula of the Spain.
They are mentioned by Strabon which calls them Bardyétai and located them on the Basque coast, Pomponius Mela and Pline located them between the Cantabres and the Vascons.

Pline wrote that Portus Ammanus (Flaviobriga Roman, which is current the Castro-Urdiales, is derived from Castrum Vardulies) was one of its cities. As for Ptolémée, it located them in current the Guipuzcoa. This divergence can be due to various causes, like migratory movements forced by the wars cantabraises. They are also zones of passage between the tribal territories, which underwent various modifications for lack of stability.

Other considerations were carried out by Julio Caro Baroja which indicated that the denomination várdulo does not have origin Basque, although some references of Pline make think the opposite because for this last Vardules could use a language Proto-Basque.

Its territory was limited with that of the Caristes and that of the Vascons. One studies to know if they were related with the Cantabres, with the Celtes or Vascons.

He was speculated a possible expansion vascone, occupying current the Basque Country, between the Life and VIIIe century. That has to cause migrations of these people towards what one will call Bardulia (identified by some, without base, with the " Castille nucléaire" according to documents of the Early middle ages).
