Vardens

The Vardens is a group of fictitious rebels invented by Christopher Paolini.

Origin

Since Galbatorix and its perjuries makes rage in Alagaësia, peace does not reign any more. The Dragonniers, the Elf S and the dwarves fight, but it is insufficient. Later, Brom (a former dragonnier) founds the group of rebels, Vardens. They are composed of human and some dwarves. Vardens are combined to the dwarves and to the elves. Brom remains a long time their chief but it leaves to steal an egg of dragon and to be avenged at the same time for its dragonne by killing Morzan.

Chiefs

After the departure of Brom, it is Devnor which becomes their chief. After its death it is Ajihad, then his/her daughter, Nasuada which takes the relai. In Elder the, Nasuada called to Eragon which if she would die, it would take its place.

Wars

Vardens gained two battles: the first against the Urgal S which were had by Durza, and the second against the Empire. Urgals joined Vardens after their defeat.

Of Vrangr Spoiled

Of Vrangr Gata is an association of Vardens magicians. In the volume 1, they was the treacherous twins who were their chief then, after their departure, it was Trianna. Against the battle against the Empire (Elder the), Of Vrangr Gata was used for killed the magicians of the Empire using Eragon.
