Vaporware
A vaporware , phantom software or fumiciel , is a Logiciel announced for a long time and always delayed.
The word is recent, coming from English vapor , who refers to the vapor, that one can see, to hear, feel sometimes, but who does not have real consistency; of ware , termination of many products of the Data-processing Industry such Hardware, Software, Firmware, etc
To qualify a product of vaporware aims at discrediting it. The intention can be neutral, or aggressive (for example, to divert potential users for its own account, if one is promoter of a competing product).
Contrary, to promote a vaporware can be an activity deliberated against an aiming competitor, for example to divert customers of a competing product in the incentive to be awaited.
