Vaness of the pellitories
The vaness of the pellitories ( Nymphalis egea , in the past Polygonia egea ) is a butterfly of the family of the Nymphalidé S.
She resembles the Robert-le-Diable whose scientific name refers to the white mark in the shape of C to the reverse of the posterior wings. At the more fawn-coloured vaness of the pellitories clearly, the spot is in form of v and less distinct.
Its caterpillar is nourished on the Ortie S, the Orme S or the Houblon.
