Vandread

Vandread (ヴァンドレッド) is a Televised series of Japanese Animation in 2 seasons of 13 26 minutes episodes each one by the studios Gonzo Digimation. The first season is produced in 2000 and will be followed of a OAV in 2001 summarizing the season ( Vandread Taidouhen ). The second season is produced in 2001 and will be also followed of a OAV in 2002 summarizing the season ( Vandread Gekitouhen ). In France, the series was diffused starting from the June 5th 2003 on Mangas.

Synopsis

The Tarrak planet is populated exclusively men and the Mejeer planet of women. These two planets are made the war since years. At the time of a military presentation of the space forces of Tarrak, the new vessel of combat, built from that of colonization, is attacked by pirate women resulting from Mejeer. Not wanting to lose the face, the commander prefers to destroy his vessel with the pirates on board.

There occurs a surprising event: the vessel of Tarrack and that of the pirates amalgamate. This fusion will affect also the “armours” of combat of the vessels. The rare men (only three) made captive by the pirates well in spite of them will have to collaborate then learning how to live with the pirate women (and conversely) because their safety with all and with all depends on their agreement.
