Van miss
Miss Van is a Graffiti - artist Toulouse. It starts to paint in the street as of the 18 years age at the beginning of the Années 1990. Its innovative style slices with urban art, traditionally male. It is exposed throughout the world, of Paris (with the gallery Magda Danysz), with New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona or Manila.
Its influences are the free Figuration, the Japanese artists, graphics, the cartoon films, the pinups of the Années 1950, the cartoon which belong to its sources of inspiration. It is influenced by artists like Mark Ryden and Junko Mizuno and, in another field, by the cartoons of Vaughn Bode published during the Années 1970.
In fifteen years its work evolved/moved much. The line was refined and the drawing gained in detail. The stylized “headstocks” of the beginnings became more realistic and more expressive.
