Valpaços

Valpaços is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Villa Real and the Northern area.

Geography

Valpaços is bordering:
  • in the North-West, of Chaves,
  • in the east, of Vinhais and Mirandela,
  • in the south, of Murça,
  • in the west, of Villa Pouca de Aguiar.

History

The municipality was created in 1836, by dismemberment partial of the municipality of Chaves.
