Valpaços

Valpaços is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Villa Real and the Northern area.

Geography

Valpaços is bordering:

in the North-West, of Chaves,
in the east, of Vinhais and Mirandela,
in the south, of Murça,
in the west, of Villa Pouca de Aguiar.

History

The municipality was created in 1836, by dismemberment partial of the municipality of Chaves.
