The Vallée of Murcia ( vallis Murcia ) is the valley between the Palatin and the Aventin, a tomb of a Roman divinity, Murcia , was there.

The Circus Maximus gradually occupied all the space of the valley, and the tomb was preserved and kept in the circus in the south-east of the valley on the side of the Aventin.

One of the theories of the name of the valley is that it comes from myrtea , because the Myrte was an attribute of Venus, and Murcia itself was identified with the goddess of the love.
