Valley of Iya
The valley of Iya (祖谷渓谷 Iya Keikoku ) is a valley located in the Préfecture of Tokushima at the Japan. This valley is known in Japan for its beauty which had at its high mountains giving him a boxed aspect and with its bridges of lianas. The access to the valley is difficult and in the history it was often a refuge for the overcome Daimyo and warriors. Thus the members of the Clan Will conceal took refuge there after having lost the Guerre of Gempei.
Lately, the valley became an increasingly tourist destination. The tourists come mainly in the western part ((西祖谷 Nishi-Iya ) of the valley arranged better for transport. To cross the spanning bridges of lianas the throats is also a required experiment although the bridges were reinforced using steel wire ropes.
