Valley-of-Reuil
Valley-with-Reuil is a common French, located in the department of the the Eure and the area High-Normandy. Its inhabitants is Rolivalois (be).
Geography
City of the North-West of the France, in the south of Rouen, in a loop of the the Seine, which was consisted the new Ville of Vaudreuil (not to be confused with the common neighbor of the Vaudreuil).
History
Vaudreuil was one of new the new cities created in France at the beginning of the Années 1970:
- June 1972: creation of the Public corporation of Installation of the new city of Vaudreuil.
- December 1972: creation of the Urbain Unit of Vaudreuil, which extends on pieces from several communes of which Vaudreuil. The urban project and architectural is entrusted to the Atelier of Montrouge and particularly to the architect Gerard Thurnauer. The inhabitants of the unit do not depend any more of the communes, but have a particular status which will bring many disputes.
- September 28th 1981: to answer the disputes, the Urbain Unit becomes a commune, whose creation cuts down Vaudreuil and takes the name of the New Vaudreuil-City .
- November 19th 1984: to avoid confusions of name with Vaudreuil, the new commune takes the name of Valley-with-Reuil .
- December 1985: dissolution of the public corporation of installation, from which competences are transferred to the commune.
- 1996 : Valley-of-Reuil joins in Communauté of communes Louviers and Incarville.
- 2000 : Valley-of-Reuil participle with the creation of the the Community of agglomeration the Seine-Eure , of which it is the main city after Louviers.

Demography
The new city saw its population passing from 378 inhabitants in 1975 to 11 359 in 1990. The growth then continued more slowly. In 2005, the city counted more 15 000 inhabitants.
Places and monuments
- Builds in 1989, the detention center " Vignettes" with Valley-of-Reuil was, with its 54.000 m ², largest of Europe. It accommodates the prisoners condemned to one year of detention and more. This penal establishment accommodated, inter alia, Patrick Henry, condemned to perpetuity for the removal and the murder of the small Philippe Bertrand to Troyes in 1976.

There exists within the new city one of the eleven centers of education with a military framing called Défense 2nd chance of Public corporation of insertion of Defense (Epide).
