The Valley-of-Grace ( hospital of instruction of the armies of the Valley-of-Grace , or HIA Valley-of-Grace ) is a Military hospital French, located in the fifth district of Paris. It occupies the old convent of the same name like its church and a contemporary building.

The hospital is opened with the general public, in addition to military patients. The establishment also regularly accommodates the most important or known personalities of the French Republic needing an medical assistance.

It is with the Revolution that the whole of the Valley-of-Grace becomes a military hospital. The payment of the 30 floréal year IV transforms it into hospital of instruction, it is the birth of the École of the Valley-of-Grace . It is only on August 9th, 1850 that is created the École of military application of medicine . In 1993, it becomes École of application of the Department of health of the armies and constitutes the first " hospital universitaire" French soldier.

Built in 1979, the hospital of the Valley-of-Grace is a modern hospital of a capacity of 350 beds. Each hospital speciality lays out of rooms known as “VIP” which are reserved for the personalities. The President of the Republic as well as the Prime Minister in function have a room which is strictly reserved to them which is in the right wing of the hospital. The room is contiguous to a room of work.
