Valle Nevado

Valle Nevado is a Winter sports resort located at 46 kilometers in the east of Santiago, the capital of the Chile.

Valle Nevado is one of the most recent ski stations of the country. It was founded in 1988 by contractors French while following the principle of the ski stations of the the Alps. It is located at the foot of the Cerro El Plomo in the Andean cordillera near to Santiago.

This ski station, with more than 9000 Hectare S of grounds skiables, the most is extended from Latin America and is regarded as being most modern of the continent. These last years, the contractors multiplied the tracks and created a Snowpark and a Half-pipe for the practice of free ski of style, of the Snowboard, the Hot-dogging and the Ski jump. One can also practice the Héliski.

In 2005, Valle Nevado accommodated the World Cut of snowboard.
