Valinor
Valinor "Country of the Valar " is a fictitious area, quoted with many recoveries in the work of J.R.R. Tolkien.
It is the central area of the continent of Aman in the extreme west of Arda and where the Valar live. It was originally attached to Arda but at the time of the first rebellion of the great elves carried out by Féanör, the valar decided that the latter could return there only when they would make penitence. They thus launched nets enchanted on the sea and the islands neighborhood in order to protect the island from valinor, of avallonnë and the last magic grounds of any intrusion of elves, men or any other creature. But when the last king of Númenor, Ar-Pharazôn had the madness to attack Valinor on the councils malefic of Sauron, Manwë called upon the creator of the world Eru Ilúvatar which separated Valinor d' Arda by sending it to the kingdom hidden things and submerged the island of Númenor (to read Akallabeth).
