Validation of the assets

History

The validation of the assets appeared in 1985 with the VAP which had evil initially to enter manners. It was started again and widened in 2002 with the appearance of the VAE which is added with the first. Testimonys coming from the various areas seem to show today that this procedure is filling its office.

Advantages of this procedure

For the companies : recognition of the formative role of the company; means of reducing times and the costs training; certification of the company thanks to the recognition of the qualification of its personnel; tool with the service of the adaptation of competences and the human stock management.

For the private individuals and the employees : means of official recognition of the competences acquired by the track records, personal, associative; helps with the control of the professional path and its evolutions; access facilitated to the diplomas and the resumption of studies; time-saver and of personal and financial investment.

The two procedures have in common that the assets must relate to at least a three years period.

Validation of the assets

Oldest, founded on the law of July 10th, 1934 (Code of education L 642-9) and governed by a decree of May 16th, 1975, allows to deliver with technicians, justifying five years of professional practice in functions commonly entrusted to engineers, the title of qualified engineer by the State.

VAP 85

The validation of the professional assets , or “VAP 85”, allows a derogatory access to the various education levels of teaching, by validation of the studies, the track records and/or the personal assets.

Can give place to validation:

any formation followed by the candidate in an establishment or a structure of public or deprived formation, whatever were the methods, the duration and the mode of sanction;
track records acquired during an activity paid or not, or of a training course;
the knowledge and aptitudes acquired at the time of any system of formation.

VAE 2002

The validation of the assets of the experiment , or “VAE 2002”, makes it possible any person to make validate the assets of its track records (wage-earner, nonpaid, voluntary), for obtaining a certification: diplomas of State education and higher education (of the CAPE to the Doctorate while passing by BEP, different the vat S, BTS, etc HAD), diplomas of Youth and the Sports (BAPAAT, BEATEP, BPJEPS, BEES), diplomas of agriculture (of the to BTSA WRAPPED), diplomas of the health sector and social (auxiliary of family life social, mediator, educational monitor etc), diplomas of the cultural affairs (in the field of the dance, the visual arts, music etc), diplomas of the maritime businesses, professional titles of the professional branches or Ministry of Labor (in particular by the means of AFPA). All certifications should be accessible by the VAE in the long term.

Can give place to validation, the assets of the experiment corresponding to the activities paid, nonpaid or voluntary (for example, associative or trade-union), one minimum duration three years. These assets must correspond in whole or part with the competences indexed in the reference frame of certification concerned.

Accompaniment

For the professional titles of the Ministry of Labor, the accompaniment of the candidates to the validation of the assets of the experiment is organized by the technical cells of validation and comprises:

individual or collective information;
a help personalized with the development of the candidates' file: definition of the objective of validation within sight of the experiment and constitution of the file;
an accompaniment in the procedure: choice of the certificates of professional competences, if necessary positioning, identification of the evidence available to the candidate, development of the action plan;
an utilization of the results and a follow-up of the action plan.

Vocabulary

The acquired experiment taken into account, with the title of the validation, are the professional competences acquired in the exercise of a paid, non wage-earning or voluntary activity in direct connection with the contents of the diploma or title. (Decree 2002-615 of April 26th, 2002) One speaks also dacquis expérientiels to indicate the sum of knowledge and the competences acquired by a person outside the education systems and of professional training, generally in the work context or extra-professional activities.
