Valery Fabrikant (born the January 28th 1940 with Minsk, the USSR -) is old a Professor in mechanical Engineering with the Université Concordia of Montreal, with the Canada. Author of the shooting which has occurred in this establishment the August 24th 1992, it currently purges a sorrow of life imprisonment for the murder of four colleagues.
In 1992, it continues in court two colleagues so that their names are withdrawn from presentations which it itself had written in the Années 1980. Fabrikant was to appear besides on August 25th, 1992, that is to say the shortly after what was going to become the day of the shooting, for insult with the court. At the time of a preceding audience in Superior court of Quebec, he had shown the judge as a chief Allan B. Gold, chancellor of the Concordia university to choose “his judges the most corrupted” to hear his cause.
At the beginning of the Years 1990, Fabrikant is victim of a Heart attack. The things enveniment on its return after its convalescence, and culminate with the slaughter of August 24th.

The shooting orchestrated by Valery Fabrikant occurs on the ninth floor of the Concordia University, with the house Henry F. Hall, on August 24th, 1992. The victims are professors Matthew Douglas (66 years), Michael Hogben (52 years) and Jaan Saber (46 years), as well as the holder of the pulpit of electronic engineering and data processing, Phoivos Ziogas (48 years). A secretary, Elizabeth Horwood, will be also wounded by bullets.
Valery Fabrikant had tested by several means of obtaining firearms, implying the Concordia university. The latter will refuse to sign to him a recommendation for obtaining a license of transport of weapon with restricted authorization, for the shooting with the target. In a letter sent to the Safety of Quebec and dated from the July 14th 1992, is six weeks before slaughter, the vice-rector with the services of the university explains the refusal by calling upon the payment of the establishment on the wearing of weapon, and indicates that because of the different ones between the professor and his employer “the university has all the reasons to worry about obtaining by Mr. Fabrikant of a gun license”. Of the three weapons used by Fabrikant at the time of the shooting, a first was bought by the teacher the August 13rd 1992, and the two others were it by his wife the very same day massacre, on August 24th. Valery Fabrikant had passed successfully its examination of initiation to the handguns in November 1991, and his wife in July of the following year. The man was also registered in a club of shooting.
Although two psychiatrists testified favorably towards him, the defendant said to feel insulted by these experts and asked to meet Doctor Louis Morissette, of the Institut Philippe-Pinel. Morissette arrived at a contrary position to the two specialists having previously met Fabrikant. The psychiatrist foot-note inter alia the reports/ratios preceding the return to work by the professor, in 1992 after an heart attack, had always given a report on the satisfaction of the students of Fabrikant, as well as his colleagues. He declared that Fabrikant was not, in his opinion, ready to undergo a lawsuit, that he suffered moreover than one simple Personality disorder, and than he should be treated by the suitable medication (thing which main concern refused).
November 5th, 2007, Valery Fabrikant is represented in Superior court of Quebec for the hearing of a lodged complaint before the slaughter of 1992 (thus before it is declared litigant quérulent). He claims then nearly 600 00$ in damage with former colleagues of the Concordia University who would have " profited injustement" of its work and " extorqué" its documents. As in its practice, Fabrikant - which only represents still once puts at severely tested patience defense counsels and judge Gilles Hébert.
November 13rd, judge Gilles Hébert challenges civil cause. He affirms more not to be able to show impartiality, while being able more to support the insults and the recriminations of the defendant. Of its cell, Fabrikant accommodates the decision while applauding.
November 20th, judge Nicole Morneau takes to the procedures one again there his colleague gave up them.
Less than one week after the resumption of the lawsuit, on November 26th, 2007, the judge puts an end abruptly to the lawsuit by calling upon a decision of the civil code to justify his decision. She considers the cause frivolous and without bases.
