Youth

It is in Lorraine that Valerie follows a normal Scolarité which takes it along to a scientific vat. She does not neglect however the letters since she gains in 1990 a price in Latin version with very selective the Open Competition of state education. Thanks to this last, it is allowed in 1991 in Paris in the famous preparatory classes of history, cagne and hypôcagne, of the college Henri IV.

Higher learning

In 1994, Valerie Mangin makes a success of entrance the examination of the École of the Charters. She spends four years there and successfully supports there a thesis of history of the institutions of the modern time: the Large Chancellery of France under Louis XVI . This one gives him the title of Archiviste-paléographe and opens to him very large the doors of the high public office. In parallel, it follows a course of History and another of History of Art to the close Sorbonne.

But as it accumulates thesis and diplomas in History, Valerie realizes that it wants perhaps especially to tell stories.

Professional beginnings

Large reader of cartoons during her studies, Valerie meets Denis Bajram, with which it falls in love, at a meeting of dedication of the Cryozone series in a bookstore.

They marry at the end of August 1999 and work consequently together in their small workshop street Saint-Julien, with the foot of Notre-Dame de Paris. Valerie, with whom Denis proposed to write the dialogs of the first volume of the dead Memories published into 1999 in Humanoïdes Associés, entirely carries out the scenario of the second album, always based on a synopsis of Denis. In 2000, it also carried out the scenario of a new series of science fiction at Sun: the Plague of the Gods of which the first of the 5 volumes left in January 2001. With this series, it starts the creation of a universe which is named since 2004 the Chronicles of the galactic Antiquity and which includes/understands Last the Trojan , Imperator and the War of the gods .

In 2006, it creates with Denis Bajram the editions Solar Quadrant; it is director of collection.
