Valeria Golino is an Italian actress born the October 22nd 1966 with Naples (Italy).

It is the niece of the journalist Enzo Golino.

Biography

• the second child of an Italian Germanist and a painter Greek, it grows in Naples until his/her parents move.
• After 3 years spent to Athens with his/her mother and 3 years in Naples with his/her father, it starts to work as mannequin with old 14 years.
• It leaves the school after its first film.
• In 1985, it obtains the first role in Piccoli fuochi .
• In 1986, it gains the price of the best actress to the Mostra of Venice for its role in Storia of amore .
• After some roles in European coproductions, it starts a career in Hollywood ( Big Top Pee-wee , 1988).
• It obtains the first feminine roles in Rain Man , Hot shots! and Hot shots! 2 .
• Its career from now on is divided between the United States and Europe, in particular Italy.
