Valentine of Holy-Aldegonde
Marie Valentine Joséphine of Holy-Aldegonde , duchess of Dino, was born the May 29th 1820 and died the September 23rd 1891.
Girl of the count Charles Camille of Holy-Aldegonde and the countess, born Adelaide Joséphine de Bourlon de Chavagne.
With the castle of Beauregard to Cellettes (Loir-et-Cher), property of his/her mother, it married, on October 8th 1839, Alexandre-Edmond de Talleyrand-Périgord, 3rd duke of Dino (1813 - 1894) (V. Famille of Talleyrand-Périgord).
The couple had six children of which four survived:
-
Clementine Marie Wilhelmine (1841-1881) (countess Alexandre Orlovsky);
- Charles Maurice Camille (1843-1917), 4th duke of Dino, 2nd marquis de Talleyrand;
- Elisabeth Alexandrine Florence (1844-1880) (countess Hans d' Oppersdorff);
- Archambault Anatole Paul (1845-1918), 3rd marquis de Talleyrand.
As of before its marriage with the princess Mathilde, Anatole Demidoff had been an impassioned admiror of Valentine de Dino. It had assisted with its marriage in 1839 and a set of diamonds had offered to him whose importance should have worried the duke of Dino. It had stopped this connection at the time of its engagement in 1840, but took it again as of its first stay in Paris after its marriage. It operated then so that Valentine de Dino came to set at Florence (Italy) near him in 1845 and posted herself at her sides, without the duke of Dino appearing to take shade of it. At the time of a dressed up ball, the Mathilde princess, exceeded, insulted her rival; Demidoff managed with his wife a pair of slaps which gave the signal of their rupture.
