Valdemar III of Denmark (1314 - 1364) Duke of Schleswig of 1325 with 1364 king of Denmark of 1326 with 1330
Wire of the duke Erik II of Schleswig and Adelaide of Holstein. It is downward of the king Abel of Denmark. It reigns since the death of his father in 1325 on the duchy of Schleswig under the name of Valdemar V of Schleswig under the regency of his maternal uncle and tutor the count Gerard III of Holstein the Large one. This last makes it elect king de Danemark at the 12 years age in 1326 with the dismissal of Christophe II. It itself is reversed in 1330 per Christophe II who takes again the throne.
For this period the reality of the capacity was of course between the hands of the count de Holstein, Gerard III of Holstein, Administrateur of the Kingdom which benefitted from it to increase its power by cutting up the country.
The duke Valdemar V of Schleswig accepted against financial equalizations in 1340 the election as king of Valdemar IV of Denmark. The agreement was materialized the same year by the union of his/her Heilwig sister with the new sovereign.
Of its union with Richarde de Schwerin died in 1386 it left only one single son:
