Valangin is a common Suisse of the Canton of Neuchâtel located at the entry of the Gorges of Seyon.

History

Between XIIe and XVIe century, Valangin was a county extending in Valley-of-Ruz and the Mountains neuchâteloises, having like lords the family of Aarberg-Valangin. In 1592, the countess of Neuchâtel, Marie de Bourbon, repurchased this territory at the price of 70 ' 000 ecus gold.
