Vahram II

Vahram II , King de Perse (276 - 293), wire of Vahram Ier (273-276). (also called Bahram II )

During the reign of Vahram II, the Roman Emperor Carus (282-283) attacked Persians and reached Ctésiphon (283) and continued still further, but died of disease. The Romans could penetrate also far in the Persian territory because Vahram was engaged in a Civil war against his/her Hormozd brother. After the mysterious death of Carus, the Roman troops were withdrawn and Bahram could overcome the rebellion.

Some theological inscriptions remained of the reign of Bahram II.
