Vahid Halilhodžić
Vahid Halilhodžić is old a Football or Franco - Bosnian born the May 15th 1952 with Jablanica (Bosnia-Herzégovine). He from now on is reconverted as a trainer.
Biography
It is with Mostar in Bosnia-Herzégovine that Vahid appears in the Années 1970. The Velez Mostar is then one of the headlights teams of the Yugoslav and practical championship a very offensive football. With the point of the attack of Calve, Vahid affirms itself like one of the best attackers of Europe. Vahid will have however less success in national team, regularly barred by the players evolving/moving in the large Serb or Croatian clubs.In accordance with the law in force at this period in Yugoslavia, Vahid must wait to be 28 years old and to have achieved its military obligations to leave in a foreign club. In manner enough in, it unloads thus with FC Nantes in 1981. After one period of delicate adapation, Vahid manages to adapt to the Nantes play preached by the trainer Jean-Claude Suaudeau. The Nantes adventure is a success for Vahid, which not only becomes champion of France but is also crowned better striker twice. After five seasons on the edges of Erdre, Vahid then leaves to finish its career of player to the Paris Saint-Germain.
Its career of player behind him, Vahid turns over with its family to Mostar where it has a bar, then as from 1990, becomes sport director of Calve, his team of heart. But as from 1992, Yugoslavia is torn by the civil war. After having sent its family to take refuge in France, Vahid escapes itself from very little from death. In 1993, it returns in its turn to France, where it becomes the one season time the trainer of the modest club of Beauvais, then in the second division.
At the conclusion one period of almost three years of unemployment, on the councils of Henri Michel (selector of the team of Morocco and former team-member of Vahid to Nantes), it leaves to involve the Rajah Casablanca, with which it gains the League of the Champions of the CIF. This victory gives a new stature to Vahid, which returns to France to involve the LOSC. Of a team of League 2, he manages to make in the space of only two seasons a team which plays the League of the Champions. Famous for its authoritative methods which make of him a trainer as respected as fears by its players, that whom one calls from now on Coach Vahid becomes one of the most famous trainers of France.
After four seasons in Lille, it unloads with the Stade of Rennes in the skin of the saver and manages to avoid with the club going down in the second division. That is worth to him to join the Paris Saint-Germain at the summer 2003. But after a first season successful in the club of the capital (championship victory of France, second of the championship), Vahid knows less success and is made dismiss at the beginning of 2005.
From October 2005 in June 2006, Vahid involves the Turkish club of Trabzonspor which it leads to the 4th place of the Turkish championship, behind the three superstars of Turkish football which are Besiktas Istanbul, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Five months after having unloaded in Saudi Arabia, the former trainer of Losc and the PSG, Vahid Halilhodzic, were thanked by the club for Al-Ittihad. The defeat of its troops out of Arab Cut vis-a-vis ES Setif (Algeria) sealed the fate of the technician bosnien.
