Influences

The history is not without pointing out the events of the Second world war. One will note the use by the Visitors of an emblem similar to the Croix-gammée of the Nazis. The Visitors have also youths similar to the Jeunesses Hitlériennes, and the televisual propaganda of the Visitors points out that of the Nazis. The human interaction with the Visitors can be compared with the events of the Second world war in the direction where certain individuals had chosen to collaborate while others had chosen to be opposed to this mode set up.

The Nazis persecuted mainly Juifs, the Visitors as for them persecute scientists, their families and all those which join them to hide their identity of scientist. Some characters of the series were of origin Juive and the grandfather a survivor of the Holocauste. The Visitors found the martial Loi in order to control the scientists, similarly so that had made the fascists in Germany. Analogies are notable between Diana, scientific chief of the Visitors and Dr. Josef Mengele.

Later in the series, the Tv news of the resistance network brings back the union of white and black civilizations of Africa in order to fight against the Visitors. Indeed, the series was carried out in 1984 whereas Africa was always in Apartheid.

V: The series

Comments

The letter V corresponds to initial of V ictoire ( V ictory in English). It is the bond with the V red which draw the Land ones and the well-known sign of the hand with two fingers in the shape of V carried out by certain characters. These two symbols evoke the victory of Land over the influence of the aliens and become symbols of rallying to the resistant cause.

V is a series worship of science fiction of the Années 1980.

In the beginning, 26 episodes were envisaged but only 19 episodes were carried out because the series was cancelled for lack of audience.

The logo of the Visitors is superposable with the symbol of the Nazi, it is enough to bind the points. Moreover the code color is black and red.
