VP Records is a Label of music, specialized in the music jamaïcaine.
History
Vincent Chin and his Patricia wife (initial their first names gave VP thereafter), originating in Kingston (Jamaica), starts in the industry of the music by dealing with the jukebox bars through all the island. In 1958, the growing success of Chin' S Jukebox Record leads to the construction of a store in the center of Kingston. A few years later, the Chin couple opens Studio 17, a studio of recording which will be attended by the great names of the reggae like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs, inter alia. In the middle of the years 1970, Chin decide to be established in America in full growth of the market of the music carribéenne with the the United States.In 1979, the Queens (New York), becomes the stronghold of the store of discs then, in 1993, of the label VP Records .
