VIIe Egyptian dynasty
According to Manéthon, the Pharaonic one sees seventy kings controlling Egypt in seventy days. One should not see a historical reality there, but rather the one turbid, known period old reflection under the name of First period intermediate, whose posterity kept only very few traces.
During the 7th dynasty the control of the king is reduced more and more and certain institutions: towns of pyramids, temples regional, obtain a statute of immunity, exempting them of taxes. The Nomarque S set up in local potentates, allotting titles to the detriment of the king who is obliged to compose with them and will lose his capacity.
Reality on the 7th dynasty is disputed, however one counts today eleven kings over one very short period; one finds several opinions on the dating of this period, of worms: -2181 or -2175 or -2150 or -2140 with -2165 or -2130.
Perhaps the presence of so much of kings on the two dynasties (and), indicates a system of collegial government (Oligarchie). The princes of blood having all the same rights and being all kings, are, seems it, disputed the throne without none succeeding in being essential.
Moreover they control only the neighborhoods of Memphis. Deprived of central capacity, the Nome S often are established in independent States in war the ones against the others. The incursions of nomads into the delta worsen the situation.
