V8 Supercars Australia

The V8 Supercars is an automobile championship which puts at the catches cars of the " type; tourisme". It is about the discipline queen of the Australian automobile sport. The championship proceeds on circuits like Adélaïde, Phillip Island, but also with Sakhir, the circuit of Bahrain, sign of the will of internationalization of the organizers. Only two marks are opposed in this championship: Ford (with the Falcon model) and Holden (with the Commodore model), two marks having each one their enthusiasts supporters. The tension enters the two camps reached its paroxysm at the time of the test of the 1.000 km Bathurst, the most prestigious race of the season.

Ian Geoghegan, Dick Jonhson and Mark Skaife holds ex-aequo the record of championships, with five successes each one.
