Völuspá
The Völuspá - " prediction of the voyante" or " known as of the voyante" (<* völv - s-spá) - is a cosmogonic and eschatologic poem of the Scandinavian Mythologie, which belongs to the collection of the poetic Edda. Its author is not known. In a long monolog, a magician exposes in a series of rich visions of details the history and the destiny of the world, gods and men since the origin of the world until the Twilight of the Powers (the Ragnarok) which will see the advent of a new ground.
One could find in this extraordinary text of the relationships to the majority of the worships and cultures having marked the thought of Western Europe and more precisely the Germanic thought. One must also see in this work a teaching of Knowledge, on the magic level, initiatory and spiritual, using a symbolic system necessarily attaching it to other traditional cultures.
