The maakond of Võru (or Võrumaa ) is one of the 15 areas of Estonia. It is located at the extreme south-east of the country, joined at the borders Russian S (Oblast de Pskov) and Latvian S. It surrounds the small town of Võru.

With 39.590 inhabitants (January 2006), it accounts for 3% of the population of the country, for a surface of 2.305 km ².

The close areas are Põlvamaa in north and Valgamaa in the west.
