Víctor Montoya

Víctor Montoya (born the June 21st 1958 with La Paz) is a writer, cultural journalist, pedagog and editor Bolivia contemporary N, alive in exile in Sweden.

Biography

Víctor Montoya lived in the mining centers of Siglo XX and Llallagua. In 1976 during the military Dictatorship of Hugo Banzer, it was persecuted, tortured and imprisoned. Whereas it was in the center Panóptico Nacional de San Pedro and with the maximum prison of safety of Viacha-Conchocoro , it wrote its deliver-testimony “Huelga there represión” Strike and repression” *. Released of prison thanks to a campaign of Amnesty International, it arrived as a taken refuge political in Sweden, in 1977.

It continued its studies of Pédagogie to the Institute of higher learning of the professors of Stockholm. It exempted courses of language quechua, coordinated cultural projects for a library, directed the Ateliers of Literature and practiced teaching during a few years. He currently collaborates in publications in Latin America, in the the United States and in Europe.

He also directed the literary reviews “ PuertAbierta ” and “ Contraluz ”. He obtained prices and purses for his literary work. He is member of the Société of the Swedish writers and the PEN international club . A great number of its tales were translated and published in international anthologies. He is the editor responsible for the electronic publication of the Latin-American Narradores Latinoamericanos in Suecia in Sweden.
