Vénédict Erofeiev

Vénédict Erofeiev (ВенедиктЕрофеев, Venedikt Erofeev ), is a Russian writer , born the October 24th 1938 with Kirovsk and deceased the May 11th 1990 with Moscow.

It was made known internationally by its book Moscow-Pétouchki (Москва-Петушки) - fine Work completed 1969, unauthorized, and which a long time circulated in the form of Samizdat.

Biography

Erofeiev is born in the area from Mourmansk and passes its childhood to Kirovsk. In 1946 his/her father is stopped for anti-soviétisme and envoy in camp of work. His/her mother does not have the means of nourishing the children and the place with the orphanage until the release of the father, seven years later. In 1955, Erofeiev finishes its schooling brilliantly by obtaining a gold medal (equivalent of a vat with mention very well). It enters then to the Université of Moscow, in Philologie. It is returned one year and half later for absenteeism and refusal to pass the examinations. It started to drink with obstinacy and to write the Carnets of a psychopathe . It leaves Moscow. In order to preserve its statute of student, he attends other establishments, in various cities. He tries to place articles in literary reviews but without success. He travels in many areas of Soviet Union, exerts various trades, does not have a fixed residence. Its texts circulate in the form of manuscripts, which allows him, in spite of the absence of official publication to obtain a literary solid reputation.
