Uwe Krupp

Uwe Krupp (born the June 24th 1965 with Cologne in Rhineland-of-North-Westphalia) is a player of professional Hockey German reprocessed and current trainer-chief of the Équipe of Germany of hockey.

Career of player

After discoverbeing discovered by Scotty Bowman, then trainer and managing director of the Sabers of Buffalo, whereas he played for the German national team, Krupp was chosen by the Sabers during the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1983 in 11th round, 214e on the whole, of the Kölner Haie, club with which he gained twice the championship of West Germany, in 1984 and 1986. Beginning in North America against the Canadian from Montreal, Krupp passed the major part of the season with the Americans of Rochester, with which it gained the Coupe Calder of the American Ligue of hockey.

Krupp was made famous while marking the memorable gaining goal of the Coupe Stanley for the Avalanche of Colorado in 3rd additional period of the Finale of 1996 against the Panthers of Florida. It gained one second Stanley Cut in 2002 with the Red Wings de Détroit.

During its career in the LNH, Krupp played 729 matches for the Sabers, the Avalanche, the Islanders of New York, the Nordiques of Quebec, Red Wings and the Thrashers of Atlanta before the wounds do not force it to withdraw competition.

International career

Krupp took part with the West Germany in the Championnats of the world of 1986 and 1990 and with the Germany reunified in the Winter Olympics of 1998 in Nagano.

Career of trainer

He was named trainer-chief of the German national team the December 15th 2005; he was established with the Temple of re-elected hockey of Germany immediately following his retirement.
