Uwe Daßler

Uwe Daßler (° Ebersbach, the February 11th 1967) is a German swimmer , specialist in medium-distance race (400 and 1  500 m freestyle), representing GDR, then of Germany.

Biography

With the Olympic Games of Seoul in 1988, Uwe Daßler is Olympic champion of the 400 m freestyle, finishes in the 3rd place of the 1  500 m freestyle and, with the team of GDR, in the 2nd place of the relay 4 X 200 m freestyle.

It was also vice-champion of the world of the 400 m freestyle in 1986 with Madrid (Spain) and champion of Europe of this same distance as well as: 1500 m freestyle in 1985 with Sofia (Bulgaria) and of the 400 m freestyle in 1987 with Strasbourg (France).

After its sporting career, it became to advise financial.
