The Utopia cinemas are also a meeting place with the realizers, but also a place of debate on subjects of company. For example, at the time of the vote about the European Constitution, of many debates took place in the enclosure of the Utopias cinemas. More recently, the journalist Serge Halimi came to take part in a debate after the projection of Désentubages cathodic , documentary very critical with respect to the televisual media.

In order to contribute to cultural diversity, these cinemas alternate independent films with small budget (ex: Neither old man, nor traitors of Pierre Carles), often intended for a relatively informed public, films with large budgets (ex: the Lord of the Rings). Moreover, Utopia tries to contribute to the public training of young people while collaborating throughout the year with schools and Parascolaires like the recreational centres, but also with associations dealing of Autistes, Alphabétisation, etc
