Uso
The river Uso is a river, along 49 km, in torrential matter which extends in Romagna, mainly in the Province of Forlì-Césène in Italy. Its basin is located between those of the river Rubicon and Marecchia. Its course is mainly in Romagnol territory, between mountain and hill, and its bed crosses arenaceous grounds Argile ux and sands (rock which contains sand). The remainder, 30%, cross hill and plain until the Adriatic Sea. The behavior of the river irregular and is very influenced by the seasonal rains. It is not rare that in certain periods of the year the river is dry. The communes included/understood in the catchment area are: Borghi, Mercato Saraceno, San Mauro Pascoli, Savignano sul Rubicone, Sogliano Al Rubicone for the Province of Forlì-Césène. Bellaria, Poggio Berni, Rimini, Santarcangelo di Romagna, Torriana, for the Province of Rimini, Novafeltria for the Province of Pesaro and Urbino. The river is born from two branches of the Apennines: the Fosso di Camara which is born with Perticara (883 m) and the Uso di Tornano which it is born with Savignano di Rigo (581 m), they are linked close to the village of Pietra dell' Uso which takes the name of it. The principal affluent is the Rio Salso , a torrent which takes up the duty of sewer for waste water of the commune of Savignano Al Rubicone . Historians identify the river Uso with old the Rubicon (1), but even of other rivers rivendiquent this title like the torrent Pisciatello.
