Urushiyama
Urushiyama (漆山) is one of the cities forming the city of Nan' yo in the Préfecture of Yamagata in the north of the island of Honshu to the Japan.
The city is on the Trunk road 113.
The city shelters the museum Yuzuru No Sato , which has an animation of the famous history of the crane of Urushiyama, and an exposure in relation to the production of Soie, one of major industries in this area until the Second world war. The museum is also used as place of appointment to the traditional Japanese storytellers.
History of the Crane
Urushiyama is the site of one of the most famous stories of crane of Japan, related to the Temple Chinzo downtown.In this history, a man called Kinzo helps to save a crane. The indebted crane was transformed into woman and became the wife of Kinzo. She bent clothing which it sold at the market in the condition that it does not observe how she manufactured them.
Obviously, yielding to curiosity, Kinzo an eye in the room throws where his wife manufactures this clothing. It was shocked to see a crane manufacturing clothing, thus breaking its promise. The crane turned over to the sky. Kinzo have shame and became priest, requesting the every day for the crane.
