Francisco Javier González Urruticoechea known under the name of Urruti, is old a Football Spanish or born the November 19th 1952 with Saint-Sebastien. Goalkeeper. Player for some Spanish clubs of reputation like in the selection. He dies tragically in an accident of car in Barcelona, on May 24th, 2001.
Biography
He was one of the best goalkeepers of the Spanish and European football of the years '80. He begins his career with the Lengokoak , then in the Sanse (Club affiliated to Real Sociedad). The year 1973 is that of its beginning with the first team of the Real Sociedad.He played like goalkeeper during 13 years in the first division of Liga. First of all with the Real Sociedad, then with the Espanyol Barcelona (club in which it was transferred during the season 1977-1978) and finally with the FC Barcelona, club in which it obtains its best professional successes and all its prestige.
While being goalkeeper of the FC Barcelona it obtains the Trophée Zamora for the season 1983 - 1984. He was the best guard of the year by boxing 26 goals in 34 matches.
National selection
In spite of the fact of being convened for each go Spanish selection, the unconditional titularity of Shine Miguel Arconada only allowed him to play 5 matches like holder, during whom it boxed 6 goals.He began in Gijon on March 29th, 1978 for the match Spain 3-0 Norway.
He played his last match like international in Copenhagen on May 21st, 1980 for the match Denmark 2-2 Spain.
He was also present during the World ones of Argentina 78, Spain 82 and very Mexico City 86 if he did not play any match. He took part in Euro 80 in Italy, but as a substitute and did not have either its chance.
