Urosperme
The botanical kind Urospermum , pertaining to the family of the Astéracées (or Made up) comprises only two species:
- Urospermum dalechampii (L.) Scop. ex F.W. Schmidt, the urosperme of Daléchamps
- Urospermum picroides (L.) Scop. ex F.W. Schmidt, the urosperme distorts ox tongue
These are two primarily Mediterranean species, which owe their name with their fruits. Formed on Greek roots, the word Urospermum means that the seed, or rather the fruit, ends in a kind of tail, long hollow and widened nozzle. For the remainder, they are of Astéracées rather close to the Pissenlit, with ligulées flowers all.
